My recent body of work, is an examination of both faith and immortality. I began the series while undergoing cancer treatment. The artwork became both a document of my journey through the illness, and a talisman to summon the strength and healing powers I needed to survive. Repetitive images are recreated as a symbol of physical protection from a higher being. I use stained collaged textiles on raw canvas to represent the healing transformation of the body itself.
