Emily Lobb Hendricksen

Collections and creations of cognitive surrealism. I use analog collage (cutting and pasting physical images) as my main medium. Most of my work comments on social issues, psychological constructs, fairytale/fantasy components, and most notably mental health issues, using surrealism-type compositions.

Emily Lobb Hendricksen is a native Kentucky artist, living in her hometown of Brownsville with her fellow artist husband. She has created art ever since she was a child and pursued a career in the arts as an adult. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's in art studio. She also obtained her Masters in Arts Administration from the University of Kentucky and has worked for Downing Museum for nine years. She enjoys playing roller derby in her free time.
