Kavita Chachcha

“My art is about creating that space on canvas and letting people find their own stories within these visually.”

Kavita Chachcha is a former architect and a visual artist based out of Singapore. Her works weave cultural narratives from her native country, India, with contemporary minimalist design sensibilities, catered to global nomads like herself. Her style can be best described as ‘Abstract art with an Indian soul.’ Kavita has grown up in India and her work touches upon the memories and messages derived from her roots of cultural origin. The artwork depicts these messages through deeper conversations released through the fluidity of my painted brushstrokes. By layering contrasting ideas both traditional and modern in nature I want them to feel connected and surprised. Over the last three years, she has participated in over half a dozen pop-ups in Singapore and had the opportunity to participate in a few exhibitions and art collectives initiating a dialogue between modern art and traditional elements, held in Singapore.
