My work is inspired by the intersection of technology and creativity, and the ways in which digital tools can expand the boundaries of traditional art forms. I use a combination of software and hardware to create my pieces, experimenting with textures, colors, and composition to achieve a unique and immersive visual experience.
I am self-taught. Never went to art school or took computer classes with the sole exception of a semester at the Evening School of Art at the Boston Museum in MA for a sculpture workshop.
I started my career as a visual artist - back in the day - grabbing pencil and paper, and drawing people most of the time. My experiments eventually led to oil and acrylic paint on canvas. I tried installations, mural paintings, mixed media, and some silk screening. All these before the arrival of computers and graphic programs.
The great advantage of Adobe Photoshop is that I got away from canvases, brushes, paints, scaffolds, and everything else I needed to make art but a laptop.
