I Wish I Knew You Better
This is a bridesmaid dress, worn at the subjects wedding. Underneath is a picture frame, molded onto the dress so the frame is visible. On the dress in the frame is a paiting of the subject done in oil paint. The actualy bridemaids dress is covered in a pattern that represents a motif of wallpaper. This is a nod to 'the landlord special', the idea that once someone moves out of an apartment, management covers a thick layer of paint over all surfaces. Often cracks or dust is not taken care of before hand, so these moments of past memory are trapped yet still noticable through the paint.
50 x 72 x 1 inches
This is an upclose photo of the wallpaper motif. This was done with clay, that the thin fabric of the dress soaked it up quickly. Many layers of acrylic glaze were used to seal it. The whole dress is now stiff, and the natural layers and folds of the dress are stuck in place.

Drawing from feminist ideals and surrealist traditions, my work explores raw emotion through the human body, blending intimacy with universality. Color plays a vital role—red conveys anger, blue evokes melancholy—creating emotional connections with the viewer. My process is instinctive and fast-paced, allowing symbolism and metaphors to emerge organically. Rooted in curiosity, my approach invites discovery rather than imposing meaning. This dialogue between artist and creation is where I find my true voice.
