Star Trauth

I began to accumulate things near me when I was bedbound. I started to gather them together into forms and shapes I snapped a photo. Next came digital manipulation. It was an art medium I did not need strength for like my regular body of work.

It’s out of my comfort zone, that makes me like it all the more. Like my other bodies of work, I wish to create a dialogue with the viewer. This work has made me hopeful and helped the healing process. My desire remains to create something beautiful from ugly and share it with others.

Star Trauth is an award-winning artist, published author, and lifelong activist. Her work has been displayed in museums and galleries across the globe.
